Devils Lake Camp Out

DATE/TIME: Friday, October 3 – Sunday, October 5

FEE: $35.00 per person

AGE LEVEL: Cadette and Senior Girls Scouts, 14 and older (No tag-a-longs, please)

DESCRIPTION: Teen Girls Scouts are invited to this weekend of hiking and camping. There will be a dance Saturday night with the Boy Scouts. Participants must attend a mandatory information meeting, September 14, 2003 at 3:00 pm at Woodhaven.

Biking Buddies

DATE/TIME: Sunday, October 5, 2003, 1-3 pm

FEE: $3.00 per person

AGE LEVEL: All Age Levels

DESCRIPTION: Girl Scouts and their families are invited to bike the Northside Bike Trail. Fees include a craft, snack and drink. All riders must wear a bike helmet as required by GSUSA Safety Wise.

FPS Family and Friends Kick-Off Dance

DATE/TIME: Thursday, October 9, 2003, 6-8 pm

FEE: $2.00 per person and a non-perishable food item.

(Fees and registrations must be paid at the Girl Scout Office by October 3rd. Food donations should be brought to the dance.)

AGE LEVEL: All Age Level Girl Scouts, troops and their family members

(Girl Scouts attending as an individual must attend the event with an adult)

DESCRIPTION: Come dance the night away as we kick-off our fall product sales program. Get product sales questions answered, view the girl awards, and get your order card to begin order taking in the morning.

AGE LEVEL: Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts (No tag-a-longs, please)

DESCRIPTION: Create bubbles, and invisible ink, see crystals under a microscope and discover how magnets work. Daisy Girl Scouts will receive a special patch for the day and the Brownie Girl Scouts will receive their Science Wonders Try-It.

Teen SU Meeting

DATE/TIME: Sunday, October 12, 2003, 3-5 pm

FEE: Free to registered members $10.00 to non-members

AGE LEVEL: Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts (No Tag-a-longs, please)

DESCRIPTION: Open to girls who are individually registered members or are in Girl Scout troops. This month’s theme is Silver Award/Gold Award/Wider Ops Training. A must attend for anyone who is interested in applying for a 2004 Wider Op or wanting to earn their Silver/Gold Awards. Also if time prevails we will work on our knot skills in an Olympic format.

CA/SR Program Aide (PA) Training

DATE/TIME: Tuesday October 14 and 21, 2003, 6-9 pm

FEE: $7.00 per girl

AGE LEVEL: Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts

DESCRIPTION: If you are interested in working directly with a troop, group or camp unit of younger Girl Scouts you may volunteer to become a Cadette or Senior Girl Scout Program Aide. You must have completed 6th grade to participate in this training.
